I had read this in many reviews previous to mine but overlooked it. It became very apparent though when i was there first hand. It is not just a case of improvement in certain areas but top to bottom the service is very poor.

It may seem a over exaggeration as i must admit I thought when reading previous reviews but when you experience it first hand it is shockingly apparent.

Maybe others could learn from them! Therefore unless there is a major change in mindset in regards to customer service and equality of all guests I would not return.

We have stayed in other hotel in antalya but this hotel was by far the worst hotel we have experienced. We are a family of 5 and everytime we book a family room the double beds are as big as king size beds.

However these beds were definitely smaller than a double. My little one often comes over to our bed during the night and we never have a issue in any of the other hotels or even in our own double bed.

But these beds could not accommodate so I ended up sleeping half the night on the sofa. So if your a family expecting spacious beds then please be aware.

The decor is very dated. My second child said to me on our second day, "this does not feel like a holiday. Its seems like a home. But most important of all, I think the staff at delphine palace need a crash course on customer service starting from the reception right down to the waiters and chefs.

I cant believe this is a 5 star hotel and the staff do not understand english. I mean the shop owners across the road can speak english but the staff in a 5 star hotel refuse to understand what we say???

Even if they showed some consideration to us then maybe we would not have been so unhappy. Their service is not 5 star service.

On one occasion I asked the waiter for hot milk at breakfast I went up to her to ask because obviously they cant be bothered to come and ask if we need anything.

It never arrived. And shockingly she was serving other guests, who were not english, around me but refused to acknowledge that I'm waiting for hot milk for my child Everytime we sat in the lobby we ended up going up to the bar to order our own drinks and each time the same drink would taste different.

One time the ice coffee would taste like ice coffee and the next it would taste like chocolate milk shake???? Same with the other mocktails we order.

Each time it differs. The reception staff are rude too. Have no sense of customer service and have attitude. And finally when we used the shuttle service to old town and when it was pick up time the drivers were treating us like beggars.

There was 3 buses. Neither of them had a name card to say which bus is going to which hotel. So we got on a bus and driver came shouting at us to get off as that bus was going to delphine imperial or something.

It was not nice. On the better side there is plenty of food, good swimming pool but to be honest a little hospitality can overcome all of this.

Great hotel with very poor and varying service. We stayed at the Delphin Deluxe from the 19th October until the 26th October for 7 nights.

Now it takes a lot for me to complain and I think this is the first time I have had to write such a review but as they say there is always a first time for everything!

We were a family of 13 6 adults and 7 children and had booked four rooms which were the ultra all inclusive package. Overall we had a great time and the kids enjoyed it.

We arrived in the evening on Saturday after a long flight and with tired kids and as soon as we arrived on the bus we were greeted by a stern looking bellboy named Ali, no smile, no hello just grabbed our bags i let it go as i thought maybe he was having a bad day - anyway will return to Ali later.

The reception staff were OK. The rooms were very nice and clean with good views overlooking the tennis courts. The rooms were well equipped with all that you needed robes, drinks, towels and amenities such as toothpaste, comb, ear buds, shower gel etc.

I have been blessed to stay in many hotels around the world whilst travelling on business or on holidays - this was rated a 5 star hotel and in comparison to other hotels i would say the surroundings and the opulence of the hotel are about 4 star if somewhat dated and needing a bit of a freshen up.

We did have on some occasions waiters who were attentative and served us well but they were far and few Ali the waiter was the best of the bunch.

The general crowd in the hotel was mainly Germans who were not the friendliest and when trying to engage with some of them with chit chat and small talk looked at us like we were from another planet - met some other english families and it was nice to hear now and again and english accent and have some general chit chat.

The activities at the swimming pools were great with a great indoor and outdoor swimming pools but again the staff attitudes differed massively.

The trip to Antalya town centre via the free shuttle bus is also a great experience well worth a visit. Now the final day of our stay was really spoiled for what was overall a decent holiday.

We asked for a late check out and the manager who was really nice said we could have 1 room until 4pm which really helped as we had an infant who needed to sleep.

However, there was some mis-communication and we kept getting calls and people knocking saying we had to check out - so we went down and spoke to the manager who got that sorted - she was really nice.

One family even left the hotel on the bus with there luggage to the airport with wristbands on. Later on we saw many guests with wristbands still on the aeroplane!!!!

So i asked her what with there suitcases with a bus saying airport transfer!!! I then gave Ali a piece of my mind as it was really out of order. This really ruined our holiday and even the kids were distraught and had seen how we were being treated differently!

I then again saw bellboy Ali outside who had within seconds developed a personality transplant on par with Jekyll and Hyde and was greeting some European guests with a smile as wide as a Cheshire cat whilst walking past us again miserably!

Top tip to management is focus on customer service and train your staff to respect all and treat everyone equally!

Great holiday but dont think we will be coming back and we will be trying another hotel next year. Date of stay: October Value.
